Dvi redakciji “Da lobžet mja ot lobzanii ust svoich” i “Ubuždešsja, viděša slavu ego” jak iljustracija evoljucijnoho šljachu skovorodynoji literaturnoji movy : deukrajinizacija ta poslovjanščennja

The article compares two different redactions of Skovoroda’s texts Ubuždšesja, viděša
slavu ego and Da lobžet mja ot lobzanij ust svoix, focusing on the interaction between the old Ukrainian literary tradition and the new Russian literary language in the years following Peter I’s ukases of 1720–1721. In seeking to ascertain whether Skovoroda’s Language has been subject to any development, I point to the concurrent processes of deukranization and Church-Slavonicization as shaping the writer’s linguistic practice in the last decade (1780–1790s) of his life and literary activity.
