L'avvocatura lombarda nell'età della Restaurazione

The aim of the work, divided in four chapters, is to reconstruct the situation of advocacy in Lombardy between the congress of Wien (1814-1815) and the unification to Piedmont (1859).
The first chapter, mainly introductory, delineates the most important historical events that occurred, with a special attention to the rebellion of 1848 wich involved many lawyers.
In the second part of the dissertation is given a complete picture of the normative regulation of the legal profession; the normative is examined in chonological order.
The third chapter is dedicated to the professional activity, judicial and extrajudicial, of the lombardian lawyers; the research is based on three differents sources and is focused in particolarly on testamentary succesion.
The last chapter of the work delineates, trough an archive research at the Archivio di Stato di Milano, the relashion between lawyers and police force: the survelliance was particularly stricht.
