Technical Review Forum for the ARC Agricultural and Rangeland Drought products

The Technical Review Forum for Drought is composed of an advisory committee of at least seven international experts from leading academic institutions, international organizations, and the private sector. These experts will have diverse expertise in various aspects of drought modelling, including rainfall, remote sensing, crop modelling, and vulnerability analysis.

Objectives

African Risk Capacity, a Specialized Agency of the African Union established to help African governments improve their capacities to better plan, prepare, and respond to extreme weather events and natural disasters, is committed to continuously improving its products to meet the highest quality standards and minimize basis risk. To achieve this, Technical Review Forums (TRF) are organized to assess products and provide recommendations for improvements.
