Il progetto artistico-scientifico "Intertwined Destinies" si occupa delle conseguenze dell'estinzione dei ghiacciai sugli ecosistemi, analizzando la rete di interazioni tra gli organismi e i ghiacciai. Attraverso questa ricerca congiunta, Maëlle e Gianalberto si scambiano idee e metodi e riflettono sui loro background teorici, tra cui l'ecofemminismo, ecologia e decolonialismo, il clima e la giustizia ambientale, con l'obiettivo di tradurre le domande, i risultati e le implicazioni scientifiche in opere d'arte.

Overview

Objectives

The tandem will look at the consequences of glacier extinction on ecosystems, analyzing the network of interactions between the intertwined organisms and glaciers. Through this joint research, they exchange ideas and methods and reflect on their theoretical backgrounds including ecofeminism, decolonizing ecology, climate and environmental justice with the aim of translating scientific questions, results, and implications into art work. Their joint fieldtrip will take place at Arolla and Ferpècle
