HDAC8 and HDAC6 combined inhibition: a new frontier in glioblastoma treatment - III Annualità
Progetto This project focuses on the role of HDAC6 and HDAC8 in Gliobastoma (GBM) development and their single or combined inhibition as a therapeutic strategy. This project aims at: 1) compare the effects of selective HDAC6 or HDAC8 inhibitors with a new dual HDAC8/HDAC6 inhibitor and dissect the common/divergent molecular mechanisms underlying HDAC6 and HDAC8 activities; 2) unravel the effects of HDAC inhibition alone or in combination with other drug treatments currently in use for GBM treatment; 3) use zebrafish as a high-throughput model to test HDAC6/HDAC8-related drugs for GBM treatment.
