Description
Marco Cremonini holds a PhD in Electronic and Informatics Engineering from the University of Bologna, he is Assistant Professor at the University of Milan, first at the Computer Science Department from 2003 to 2018, then at the Social and Political Science Department since 2019. He is member of the SesarLab, focused on service-oriented architectures research, and of the BehaveLab, a center for behavioral sociology research. With regards to H2020 European projects, he has been member (2016-2019) of EVOTION on Big Data Supporting Public Hearing Aid Policies, he is currently a member (2019- ) of CONCORDIA on a Cybersecurity Competence Network, and advisory board member (2019- ) of SIMARGL on Secure Intelligent Methods for Advanced Recognition of malware and stegomalware.
He has been Associate Researcher at the Institute for Security Technology Studies of the Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, USA in 2000-2001 and Visiting Scholar at the University of Virginia, VA, USA, in 2016. He led a postgraduate course on e-Government in 2010, is Academic Editor and Board Member of PLOS ONE and serves as reviewer for numerous international journals, conferences, public programmes, and funding agencies.
His research interests were initially focused on mobile agents and information security, developed to privacy and risk analysis, and progressed to computational network and agent-based models of propagation and behavior. He publishes in international journals, Scientific Reports, JASSS-Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation, PLOS ONE among others.
