In this introductory article to the reading of the "Global Congo" dossier and the numerous interventions that make it up, Silvia Riva explores the multi-semantic value of the word "global", while reversing the terms of the centre/periphery dialectic and in order to highlight the critical and gnoseological usefulness of a collaborative approach (writers, critics, artists) and the ensuing decompartmentalization of disciplinary barriers.
