Planting seed balance of trade is still declining The current movements on the prices of the most important agricultural raw materials throws the attention to the demand, supply and international trade of agricultural products. In order to understand the possible evolution of the markets of planting seed it is very important to study the world trade situation for these products. The aim of this paper is to present an analysis which can lead to highlight the actual framework of italian planting seed international trade. Italian planting seed exports increased of 16 percent in 2007 compared to 2006. In the same period import grew up by 14 percent. As a final result of these changes we observe a loss of 127 million € in the balance of trade.
