Marx pensatore dialettico?

The role of dialectics in Marx’s thought has been interpreted in various ways. Soviet dialectical materialism and Western Marxism emphasized it, as a scientific method of analysis, or reduced it to a mere philological question, related to the evolution of his philosophical position. From time to time, the young and the mature Marx were placed in contrast or read in continuity. It is perhaps time to rethink Marx’s relationship with the classical tradition of dialectical thought, going beyond traditional schemes, proceeding in the light of the historical transformations of capitalism and socialism, as only apparently alternative models of society.
