Abstract:
In his treatment of the biological phenomena, Kant opposes to the old and discredited theory of the final causes his concept of internal finalism which is very similar to Monod’s idea of “objets doués d’un projet”. Goethe, hostile in his turn to the final causes, follows Kant’s perspective, making use of it in his natural philosophy and notably in his morphology
