Abstract:
Tv series dialogue are an example of natural “recited orality” (Nencioni 1976), since they come from a griten text, the script. Nonetheless, in order to make the conversation more realistic and dynamic, a lot of colloquial elements are included, even stammering and false starts, especially when the public attends the shooting.
The aim of this study is to identify some recurrent patterns of these prefabricated discourses. For this purpose I will analyze the lexical and morphosyntactic elements of ten episodes of some popular Spanish series, such as Aquí no hay quien viva, Siete vidas, y Aída. I will highlight intensification processes (Briz, 1996; Briz y Grupo Val.Es.Co., 2000; Albelda, 2005), since they make the text more natural and they foster funny effects (Ruiz Gurillo, 2012, 2013) that are the main aim of the sitcom (Melloni, 2004).
