Abstract:
The metal ornamental objects of the pre-Roman period. There are about a dozen metal objects found in
via Moneta, related to clothing and parure, that can be attributed to the proto-historic period. Chronologically, the
findings refer mainly to two horizon: an older one which dates to the earliest settlement (Iron Age, 5th century BC),
a later one which dates to the Insubrian oppidum’s period. The analysis of the findings sheds light on the first pre-
Roman peopling, which can be referred firstly to the Golasecca’s civilization, and allows a scan of detail for the
chronology of the earliest settlement phases.
