Granulomi gluteali del lattante

Nine cases of granuloma gluteale infantum are reported. This condition is characterized by reddish-blue nodules, varying in size from a few millimetres to a few centimetres in diameter, in the napkin area. The related cases are morphologically and histologically similar to those previously described in literature. The possibility, that the most important etiopathogenetic moment is the use of topical fluorated corticosteroids, is here confirmed. The use of Coaltar is suggested as remarkably efficacious in shortening the time of disease.
