The aim is to understand the meaning of this path using through questionnaire with religious leaders and through interviews with people who have recently changed faith community. The research was conducted during 2007/2010 and involved christian communities in Exeter area (UK) and Milan City and metropolitan area (Italy). Some of the questions and dilemma this work try to answers or explains are: • Why do believers decide to leave the church that they originally belonged to, to move to another religious group? How do they make this decision? •What is the motivation for change and what steps do people take in order to change churches? How can these decisions be both described and understood? • In the new church, do people find new ideas to believe in and/or new ways of doing things? • What are the differences in belonging and believing after such a transition has taken place and what do these differences and terms mean?
