Rodi e la conquista romana verso Oriente: riflessioni di Mario Attilio Levi

This chapter investigates the teaching and study activities carried out by Mario Attilio Levi in the Italian Dodecanese between 1937 and 1938. Moreover, by focusing on his scientific outputs from the 1930s and the 1940s, it illustrates how Levi interpreted the Roman expansion in the Eastern Mediterranean and, specifically, the political relations between Rome and the island of Rhodes in the 3rd-2nd century BCE.
