The lectures span modern aspects of Process Chemistry applied to the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
The 2021 edition will include a historical perspective on Natural Products as active pharmaceutical ingredients and several lectures aimed at highlighting themes of emerging interest and specialized technologies. The program will cover several topics, including manufacturing of HPAPI (highly potent API), continuous crystallization, particle engineering, synchrotron radiation in polymorphic characterization, new trends in the development of natural products-based APIs, alternative solvents, mechanochemistry, continuous manufacturing, automated synthesis of complex molecules, continuous flow chemistry, organophotocatalysis, iron catalysis and biocatalysis.
Case studies on scale up issues in process chemistry will also be presented in a special workshop.
